One of the challenges many real estate professionals have is, what to say to someone to naturally begin a conversation about real estate.
…to ultimately build a relationship. As you already know, a common question real estate professionals get ask (at networking events, parties, etc.) is, "So, how’s the real estate market?"
I’ve been training and coaching to respond with…”to answer that question properly let me ask you a questions, how long have you own your home?”
The answer to that question begins an open conversation about real estate specific and personal to the person asking. This creates rapport and most importantly creates a conversation.
If they answer, “I don’t own a home” …you now has a potential home buyer lead. If they answer 10 years, 20 years or more the agent can now talk about the changes and ask if they would like to take advantage of the market.
This technique is much more effective than simply responding with, “the market is great!” Or, “it’s unbelievable!”
